Love Bites

Love BitesFor Desperate Women and the Men Who Love Them.![]() What is Love Bites? It's a deceptively simple, profoundly effective game for couples. It will help you ask for--and get--what you really want from each other. And if you play it for just 6 weeks, it will transform your relationship. That's a promise.Love Bites was created by Betsy Sansby, a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist who noticed that couples always complain about two things: Women complain that Men are clueless, and Men complain that Women are never satisfied. The problem is that women think they're being specific in their requests when they're really not, and men think they understand what women want when they really don't. Love Bites solves the problem by helping both partners get their needs met. How is Love Bites played? At the beginning of the week, each of you fills out 3 Menu Cards: 1 Appetizer, 1 Entrée, and 1 Dessert. Each card has prompts on the back that walk you though the process of making a specific request of your partner for a specific gift of kindness, service, or affection. After you've both filled out your 3 Menu Cards, you exchange them. Then you read through each other's cards and unless you see something really objectionable, you're ready to play the game. You have one week to fulfill all 3 of each other's requests. Each time a request is fulfilled, it's up to the Receiver of the gift to initiate a conversation, using the Follow-Up Conversation Guide that comes in the box. The questions on the Guide will help you talk about your experiences in a way that automatically increases self-awareness, deepens understanding and generates appreciation. This may sound like an extravagant claim, but when you use the Guide consistently, this is exactly what happens. It's built into the process. |
